A gently undulating countryside scattered with little villages where time seems to have stopped, large courtyard farms in the middle of vast cultivated fields, deep forests crossed by a network of trails and paths, this is what makes the Villers Region in Walloon Brabant so attractive.
The Villers Region is characterised by its natural resources (forests, fields, valleys, waterways, panoramas, etc.). There are a number of curiosities dotted around which make up the heritage of this quality rural area: old watermills, numerous castels, chapels, farms, etc. Three local museums tell us about the lifestyle and events of former times. Nestling in a bed of greenery, the ruins of the Cistercian Abbey of Villers-la-Ville rise majestically from the middle of hundreds of hectares of woodland. The ruins represent a real crossroads in the history of our region and give the visitor something to marvel at. There is a whole range of cultural activities waiting for you: there are numerous theatrical productions, concerts, art exhibitions.
