Founded in 1989, it organises conferences, exhibitions and themed walks. It edits historical works on Chastre, its paths, buildings and the habitat. A genealogical assistance section is available to inhabitants. In particular, it is interested in protecting the heritage of Chastre and it publishes a three monthly bulletin. |

The association brings together friends of Villers Abbey and heritage in general. The Friends of Villers Abbey benefit from free access to the ruins throughout the year and the two monthly information bulletin, access to trips and activities organised specially for them and reductions on the cultural programme and in the library. |
